Goodbye Hiatus, Hello Scavenger Hunts 👋

I’m back after two years of not touching this blog; a lot happened so I took time away and ended up never returning.

Since my last blog post about season six of Game of Thrones, I graduated from my undergraduate Film degree with a first, and then I completed my Masters in Media (with a Television Studies focus), moved into my own flat and got engaged.

I became recently inspired to return to the world of blogging as many of my friends have their own blogs and I’ve become more comfortable rating and reviewing films in my recent Letterboxd revival. I wouldn’t have gained the confidence to write reviews on Letterboxd if I didn’t get involved in the monthly Scavenger Hunt challenges (even though most of my reviews are one sentence long and usually sarcastic).

A quick overview of what a Scavenger Hunt is; basically a new host each month creates a Letterboxd list with 30/31 tasks for participants to find films that fit that category. The films chosen are to be mostly unseen films by the participant and they should write at least a short review on each film. It’s been my New Year’s Resolution to complete every 2018 Scavenger Hunt, so far so good half way through the year. I’m going to choose my favourite film I’ve watched each week (as I’m averaging on seven a week) and write my thoughts on here as well as on Letterboxd; I’ve also bought an Odeon Limitless subscription so I’m going to be writing about new releases more as well.
